By now, only the first five roadtrips from 2014 (and partly 2015) are available in English. I’m working hard on translating the rest of the travelogues in chronological order. Unavailable roadtrips are shown in grey but can be accessed from the German site (in German only).
2017
13 – T25-Ultras on an Autumn Roadtrip
The first autumn roadtrip led us via Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Therme Erding Spa and Neuschwanstein Castle to a hockey and a floorball game in Switzerland, ending with a Monday’s football game in Sandhausen.
12 – Short Trip to Czech Republic 2017
This short trip took the Didimobile through Poland to Czech Hradec Králové for a Nottingham Panthers’ CHL game. Afterwards we visited the Elbe River Spring and once again Prague, the countries capital.
11 – Cornwall 2017
This year’s summer tour was a bit smaller, but therefore really international: Togehter with a good English friend the first nottingHAMburg tour brought us to Cornwall, the southwesternmost part of England.
10 – England & Wales 2017
After the traditional season start at the EIHL hockey playoffs in Nottingham, the road led the Didimobile to Wales and the Cotswolds again. A kind of “best of” from the last two years.
2016
09 – The Balkans 2016
The most impressive and adventurous roadtrip so far led the Didimobile straight through the Balkans all the way to Albania. A date in France afterwards made it the longest tour so far at more than 8,000 kilometers, 33 days and 18 border crossings.
08 – Therme Erding 2016
It could become an annual ritual, the short trip with the ward once straight through the Republic to Therme Erding Spa.
07 – England 2016
The standard seson opener at hockey playoffs in Nottingham, follwed by a roadtrip through the Cotswolds and England’s southwest.
2015
06 – Once Around Germany 2015
This year’s destination was a small VW bus convention near Zürich in Switzerland. Without any hurry we were cruising around, ending up in a four week, 5,200 kilometer clockwise around Germany, passing through seven different countries.
05 – England & Wales 2015
Last autumn during the hockey CHL the basis for a long lasting fan friendship between Hamburg and Nottingham fans was set. The British playoffs in April shall become a fixed start into the camping season, this year with a subsequent roadtrip through Wales.
2014
04 – Nottingham 2014
For the Hamburg Freezers’ third Champions Hockey Leage game in Nottingham we started directly after Sunday’s home game, only to be back again for Friday’s home match.
03 – Scandinavia 2014
Together with four hockey fans this trip took us to the Hamburg Freezers Champions Hockey League games in Laplandia and Finnland, 4,700 kilometers once around the Baltic sea.
02 – The Alps 2014
The Didimobile’s first grand tour to a VW bus convention at Mount Grossglockner in Austria. This should be the first of many tours to Didi’s beloved Mountains.
01 – Therme Erding Spa 2014
The Didimobile’s first multiday tour. Together with two good friend the Father’s Day Weekend was used to visit Therme Erding Spa at the Republic’s opposite end.
